YOU Counselling now offers support and rehabilitation to those who suffer from the misuse of substances. Alcohol and drugs can impact a person’s life in many ways. They can harm relationships with family, friends and co-workers. Cause a breakdown in employment, homelessness and even lead to overdose.
There are many reasons why this might happen. It might be someone’s upbringing, PTSD, homelessness or physiological issues. Whatever the reason, our BACP registered counsellors are here to help support you start a journey of development and recovery.
This is done by giving you the chance to improve your mental-wellbeing, health, and social interactions. When you feel ready, we can help get you back into sports, volunteering or work. Everything is done at your own pace with no pressure.
We work in partnership with The Society of St James Recovery Service, that covers Portsmouth areas PO1-PO6. They are specialists in the field with many years of experience. They offer advice and resources on their website for free.
Counselling is for over 18s and is offered at three locations in Portsmouth, as well as remotely. This is a free to access service that can be referred through an online form, by email or by phone (see below).
You do not need to go through your GP to access these services.
